Gateway Robotics Challenge (GRC)

Cost participate in the competition is $375 per team.

• Invoice will be emailed to adult representative of team that completes registration.

This event is free to spectate and open to the public!

Volunteers will have meals provided for them.

 The Gateway Robotics Challenge will use the MOST RECENTLY UPDATED 2024 Crescendo Game Rules. save for 1 edit to Team Update 21.

For the Melody Ranking Point: 18 (15 if Coopertition Bonus) AMP & SPEAKER NOTES will be required to achieve this ranking point. This is in accordance with requirements for Regional & District level events.

Radios
As not all teams received a new Vivid Hosting (VH-109) radio at 2024 FIRST World Championships, we will be using the more commonly used OpenMesh (OM5P-AN or OM5P-ACVH-109) Radios for this event.

Alliance Selection

• Inter-drafting between Top 8 seeded teams WILL be allowed.
• We WILL NOT be using the recent ‘Alliance Selection Task Force’ Update for this competition. Given that this announcement was made by FIRST Robotics Competition Staff only recently, we want to give teams more time to prepare for this change in structure. We’ll be using the rules for Alliance Selection from the 2024 Crescendo! Game season manual. So teams, please be prepared to send up your 1 student representative for Alliance Selection.

There will be a Concessions Stand available throughout this event.

Outside food and drink will be permitted at this venue. 

Teams are encouraged to coordinate their own team meals through the offered Concessions onsite or from local restaurants.
